The International Federation of Journalists has demanded that the Israeli Defense Forces lift their newly announced limits on journalist travel in southern Lebanon and allow all media staff to travel freely in the conflict zone.

The publisher of  Global Journalism Review,  freelance journalist Jim Brennan, seeks support for expansion.   He is a former sub-editor on The Guardian and other newspapers, a member of the Society of Editors (Emeritus), the National Union of Journalists, the Political Studies Association, and the Association of  British Science Writers.   GJR is a  useful as well as an interesting publication.  Now being updated, it has survived online into its ninth year without subsidy of any kind or help from any university or other institution.  It is ripe for development – look it over.   WYSIWYG.  Proposals please to brenmedia@btinternet.com.  

Suggested minimum donation/subscription (hoped for, though not absolutely essential), per issue: individual, 25p; paid chief executives and bosses, MPs and MEPs, 75p; organisations, including companies, councils, unions, universities – all multi-copy users, £1.   Preferably minimum 10 issues, though 26 or 52 very welcome.  Cheques to be payable to Brennan Publications.
